A BNP activist in Khulna has died of heart attack while marching in a procession taken out in support of the Opposition-backed transport blockade.
Helal, 47, died around 10.30am on Tuesday, police said.Helal fell ill while marching, Khalishpur Police Station OC Sukumar Biswas said.
He was taken to the Gazi Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead, the police officer said.
Hospital doctor Bangakamal Basu said the BNP activist had died of a cardiac arrest.
Quoting relatives, the OC said Helal had suffered a heart attack earlier, and there were blockages in the organ. – bdnews24.com
