BNP has sought police permission to hold a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan to commemorate the Victory Day.The party has sent a letter to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner seeking permission to hold the rally at 3pm on Dec 15, BNP’s deputy office secretary Abdul Latif Jony said.
Party Joint Secretary General Salahuddin Ahmed in a video message on Monday announced extending the third spell of blockade until 6am on Friday.
He announced a series of programmes lined up by the party for the next few days, including organising discussions on Dec 14 to mark the Martyred Intellectuals Day and Dec 16, the Victory Day.
Salahuddin had said the venue for these events would be announced later. –bdnews24,com
