A court on Sunday rejected the bail petition of city BNP general secretary Shafiqul Haque Milon and sent him to jail in two cases for subversive activities.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mizanur Rahman passed the order after a hearing of the two cases filed with Boalia Model Police Station.Earlier in the afternoon, Milon surrendered before the court in the afternoon and sought bail in four cases filed with Motihar Police Station and Boalya Model Police Station.
On January 5, five cases were filed with different police stations against Milon in connection with subversive activities in the city.
On May 31 and June 26, the High Court granted him a four-week anticipatory bail in these cases.- UNB
