The body of senior lawyer of Supreme Court Dr M Zahir has been brought back to Dhaka from Thailand.A flight of Thai Airways, carrying his body, landed at 12:30pm at Shahjalal International Airport and his body was taken to Supreme Court premises.
Dr Zahir’s junior lawyer Moshtak Ahmed Chowdhury said that the first namaz-e-Janaja will be held after Jumma at Supreme Court premises and the second at Dhanmondi residence area. He will be laid to rest next to his father’s grave at Banani graveyard.
Dr M Zahir breathed his last at Bangkok General Hospital on Thursday. He was 74. He was suffering from bone marrow cancer.
