Police on Sunday recovered the body of a man from the rooftop of an
inter-city train at the city railway station.
Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Passengers spotted the body on the rooftop of the inter-city ‘Padma
Express’ train and informed police.
Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered the body and sent it to
Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Alamgir Hossain, officer-in-charge of GRP, Rajshahi railway station,
said several packets of biscuit were found with the body, which also
bore several injury marks in the head.
Police initially suspected that the man sustained injury while selling
biscuits on the rooftop and excessive bleeding might have caused his
