Bogra teacher killing: 23 BCL men sued

Bogra – A case has been filed against 23 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) in connection with the killing of Baki Billah, a former Islami Chhatra Shibir leader and assistant teacher of Bogra Biam Model School and College.
Yeakub Ali Master, Billah’s father, lodged the case with Sadar Police Station against 14 identified and nine unidentified BCL leaders and activists on Monday afternoon.BCL district unit general secretary Masrafe Hira was made the prime accused in the case.
Meanwhile, teachers, students and employees of Biam Model School and College submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner demanding the arrest of Billah’s killers.
They, led by the institution principal Mostafizur Rahman, handed over the memorandum to DC Shafiqur Rahman Biswas in the afternoon.
Earlier, on Tuesday night, Billah, former secretary of Government Azizul Haque College unit Shibir, was beaten and stabbed to death allegedly by the accused BCL leaders and activists. – UNB
