A BRAC official identified as Zafar Iqbal, 40 was killed yesterday in a road crash under Madhukhali upazilla on Dhaka-Khulna Highway.
According to police sources, the deceased working as the manager of BRAC Progoti Project in Pabna was coming from his native home in village Babukhali under Mohammadpur upazilla of Magura district to his work place by motorcycle.When he reached Noapara-Madhukhali crossing his bike was overrun by a passenger coach coming from opposite direction named J.R. paribahan. Zafar Iqbal along with his motor bike was crushed under the wheels of the coach that caused his instant death.Initially his body was taken Madhukhali police station and was later shifted to Faridpur Medical College hospital for post mortem.A case was registered with Madhukhali police in this connection.
