Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has reportedly issued red alert on Lalmonirhat frontier on Friday morning.Sources said additional BSF members have been deployed along the Indian border area from Thursday evening.
On the other hand, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) also increased its manpower and were patrolling the border area.
A competent source told banglanews BSF issued red alert on the frontier in order to avert any untoward situation following Thursday’s unrest in Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, they prohibited villagers not to work in the border area until next announcement.
When contacted, BGB 31- battalion commander Lieutenant Colonel Mehedi Hasan denied any knowledge about the issue.
However, he admitted that BSF beefed up security measures along the border and BGB also is on alert.
