BSF pushes back 9 thru’ Darshana border

Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) pushed back nine Bangladeshi people into the Bangladesh territory through Darshana border early Friday.They were identified as Khwaja Sheikh, 30, Dwin Islam, 40, Faruk Sheikh, 33, Nahid, 20, Mizan, 25, Salam, 28, Raza Molla, 22, Mostakin, 22, and Habibullah, 20. All of them hail from different areas of Jessore and Narail districts. Lieutenant Colonel SM Maniruzzaman, commanding officer of Border Guard Bangladesh 26 battalion, said Indian police arrested the Bangladeshis while they were entering the country through the border area in search of job in October, 2013.They were sent to an Indian jail where they had been languishing since then. BSF pushed them back into Bangladesh through the main pillar no. 76 on the Darshana border on Friday at about 3:00 am. BGB troops arrested them and handed over them to Damurhuda police. Police produced them before a court which sent them to jail on Friday morning. Security has been tightened in the border area following the incident.-UNB, Chuadanga
