Jatrabarhi Police Sub-Inspector KM Nuruzzman filed the case on Saturday afternoon, a case in which 18 BNP leaders including Khaleda Zia stand accused of ‘conspiring and instigating’ the bomb attack.
This cames two days after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had warned the BNP chief of such action unless the blockade was withdrawn, and on the day Khaleda Zia lost her second son Arafat Rahman Koko who died suddenly in Malaysia.Fifty other BNP leaders and activists have been accused of carrying out the attack in the case.
Twenty-seven passengers received burn injuries, some of them seriously, when petrol bombs were lobbed on a bus near Katherpool at Jatrabarhi on Friday night.
