Miscreants set afire the district unit Awami League (AL) office on the Chandpur-Comilla Road in the district town early Thursday.Officer-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station Abdul Kaiyum said the criminals set fire to the AL office in front of the residence of the district judge in the area at about 5:15 am and the fire soon engulfed the entire office.Later, local people doused the flame immediately.Police arrested Jahangir, 24, for his alleged involvement in the incident.A case was filed. -UNB, Chandpur
