Cultural organisation Chhayanaut welcomed spring through music and dance presentations at a programme at its auditorium on February 24. Students of Chhayanaut presented songs of three great poets-Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam and Atul Prasad Sen, in solo and group renditions during the programme, which also featured group dance presentations synchronised with songs of the poets.
The programme began with Tagore’s “Ore Bhai Phagun Legechhe Bone Bone”. While the singers sang, a group of dancers presented dance with the song sharing the same stage. The singers and dancers also presented a music-dance presentation with “Mora Nachi Phule Phule”-a song by Atul Prasad Sen. In solo presentations, Tanisha Jahan rendered Tagore’s “Mora Genu Basonter”, Namira Musran rendered Kazi Nazrul Islam’s “Sundor Atithi Esho Esho” and Arpita Das performed Nazrul’s Dol “Phaguner Dol Legechhe”.
