A minor boy has been killed when a tractor knocked down him at Kristaganj area under Boalia Police Station in the city on Thursday evening.
The deceased was identified as Hasan Ali, 10, son of Abdur Rahsid of Kechua Tala in the city.Uttam Kumar, sub-inspector at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) police camp, said the accident took place in the area around 7.30 pm when a sugarcane-laden tractor hit Hasan when he tried to pick up sugarcane from the vehicle, leaving him critically injured.He was rushed immediately to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead after a few minutes of admission. –BSS, Rajshahi
