Climate change mitigation policy demanded at RU seminar

Speakers at Rajshahi University (RU) on Friday demanded that the government should
adopt an effective policy to face the challenges of climate changes and to reduce the bad
effect of this.
They made this remarks at a seminar organized by RU Geography and Environmental
studies department in association with OXFAM and CSRL on titled ‘Capacity Building
Workshop on Climate Change Mitigation’.
They said, “We have to keep enough preparation to alleviate the probable damages which
may be come as a result of climate change in the world.”
They also urged the students to be more conscious about upcoming challenges of climate
change.
The programme was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the university Prof
Muhammad Mizanuddin while Pro vice chancellor Prof Chowdhury Sarwar Zahan
addressed as a special guest.
Among others, Selina Parvin Prof of zoology department, A N K Noman Prof of
Economics department, Md.  Golam Robbani Prof of Public administration department
