One college student was killed on the spot and two others were
injured, one seriously when a motorcycle was dashed from behind by a
speeding truck bound for Dhaka on Khulna-Mawa Highwaya near at
Kahalpur under Mollahat Upazila in the district on the night of
Sunday, according to a delayed report received here.
The deceased was identified as one Tarikul (22) of village Garfa under
the same Upazila. The inured are Babu (15) and Al-Amin hail from the
village Garfa under the same Upazila.
It is learnt from the police and the locals that deceased and the
injured college students were going to Mollahat from Fakirhat on a
motorcycle and when they reached the place of occurrence the speeding
killer truck dashed the motorcycle and fled away. As a result its
rider Tarikul was killed on the spot and Babu and Al-Amin were
injured.
The injured persons were admitted to Mollahat Upazila Helth Complex
for their treatment. But considering the critical condition of Al-Amin
he was shifted from there to Khulna Medical College Hospital. But no
trace of the killer truck was found till the writing of this report.
