6 injured in cocktail blasts: 650 Jamaat-Shibir men sued

650 Jamaat-Shibir men, 50 named and 600 unnamed, were sued on Monday
night allegedly for attacking police and BGB.
Police said, Nayeb Subedar Abu Taher of 9 BGB battalion filed the case.
OC of Shibganj thana Mizanur Rahman said, the case was filed as
Jamaat-Shibir men made attack on police and BGB on duty on Monday noon
during Jaamat Shibir’s hartal.
One Jamaat men were killed and 15 others including the members of
police and BGB were injured in a clash between Jamaat-Shibir and law
enforcers at Mohodipur in Shibganj upazila during Shibir’s hartal on
Monday noon. -Our Correspondent
Six persons, four of them children, were injured in different
explosions of cocktails by Shibir activists at Bhelurmore and Goalpara
in Chapainawabganj town on Tuesday.
The injured were identified as Ismita, 4, daughter of Sajjad Hossain,
her younger brother Sajib, 3, Antu, 4, daughter of Abdul Alim,
Munitha, 3, daughter of Abdul Barik of Bhelurmore and Nazrul Islam
Tutul, 28, son of Sajjad Ali and Asadul Hoque, 38, son of Saidur
Rahman of Islampur all in Chapainawabganj town.
OC of Chapainawabganj Sadar thana Bazlur Rashid said, Shibir activists
took out a pro-hartal procession in the town at 11 am. As the
procession reached Bhelurmore, they exploded a number of cocktails
injuring Ismita, Sajib, Antu and Munitha. They also exploded cocktails
at Goalpara in the town injuring Nazrul Islam Tutul and Asadul Hoque
at around 11-15 am.
The injured were admitted to the Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital in a
critical condition. -Our Correspondent
