College student killed in Sylhet

A college student, who was admitted to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital on Thursday night after being critically injured in a traffic
accident, died on Friday morning.He was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition and died there at round 8:00am on Friday. ‘The body of the student was taken to the college
campus in the morning and then to his village home at noon,’ Abul Fateh Fattah said.
The deceased was identified as Prince Dev, 21, a first year under-graduate (pass course) student of Madan Mohan College in the
city and son of Obudh Ranjan Dev of village Sathhal under Companiganj in the district.
The college principal, Abul Fateh Fattah, said Prince sustained serious injuries in the head after being hit by a truck at Kuarpar Lane in the city
at around 9:30pm on Thursday when he was returning his residence in the area.
Kotwali police sub-inspector Kazi Jamal Uddin, who received the body from the hospital, told that the body was handed over to his relatives for
performing funeral without postmortem, following an order issued by the deputy commissioner.
