Dhaka – A local leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) died from snakebite at Buidnak village in Sadar upazila on Tuesday evening. The victim was identified as Tanvin Haque Riad, son of Tajul Islam of the village. He was the president of ward-3 unit JCD of Kalirbazar union. Victim’s maternal uncle Mizanur Rahman said a venomous snake bit Riad, a 2nd year student of Anandapur Degree College, while he was netting fish in an enclosure near his house.Riad was first taken to a shaman and then to Comilla General Hospital where doctors declared him dead.UNB news agency
