Communist Party of China congratulates AL on polls victory

Dhaka, Jan 5 – The Communist Party of China (CPC) has congratulated the Awami League Central Working Committee on its victory in the 11th parliamentary election. The greetings came through a letter issued by the Central Committee of CPC on Friday.
“Delighted upon hearing the victory of the Awami League in the 11th parliamentary election of Bangladesh, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China wishes to extend to the Awami League our (China’s) heartfelt congratulations,” reads the letter.
It further says, “The longstanding friendly relations between the CPC and the AL have played the role of political guidance in the development of China-Bangladesh strategic cooperative partnership.”
“On the threshold of new and important opportunities for the development of China-Bangladesh relations, the CPC stands ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the AL in our concerted efforts to build new type of party-to-party relations that seeks to expand common ground while reserving differences, and enhances mutual respect and learning and to promote the steady progress of China-Bangladesh relations to an even higher level,” the letter adds.
The CPC also wished prosperity of Bangladesh and happiness of its people.
On Monday, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang extended their heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on securing her party’s absolute majority in the 11th national election. – UNB
