Court defers report on ‘propaganda’ in quota reform movement

Dhaka, July 4 – A Dhaka court on Wednesday deferred submission of the report in the case filed in connection with provocative propaganda in quota-reform movement. Magistrate Ahsan Habib of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Wednesday fixed August 8 new date, as the Investigation Officer of the case could not submit the report yesterday.
Earlier on April 8, Cyber Security and Crime Division of police CCounter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit monitored the provocative propaganda on various social network platforms, including Facebook profiles, page and groups, YouTube, Twitter, Online news portals, blogs and different other websites.
On April 11, after monitoring, Police Inspector SM Shahjalal of Counter Terrorism unit filed a case with Ramna Model Police Station over the issue. – Court Correspondent
