DIRD Group organised a cultural programme on March 25 at the central auditorium of KIB complex, Khamarbari, Dhaka. Engineer Itemad – Ud – Daulah, chairman of DIRD Group delivered the welcome speech of the event in which managing director of the company, Nabeel-Ud -Daulah was also present. The event was conducted by Dr Anupam Kumar Pal.
Kiron Kala Bhavan, a troupe comprising the young children of the employees of DIRD Group performed at the event alongside others. The event started with the national anthem followed by DL Roy’s epic song “Dhone Dhane Pushpe Bhora” and “Alo Amaar Alo.” Famous Indian elocutionist Bratati Bandyopadhyay and popular musical artiste Jayati Chakraborty performed at the event while rendering compositions of Tagore, Nazrul, Jibanananda Das and Shamsur Rahman. An art-exhibition of the works of the artistes of Kiron Kala Bhavan was also hosted on the outskirts of the main auditorium.
