Cultural programme held at BAU

A cultural programme welcoming newly-enrolled students of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in Mymensingh under the academic session 2015-16, was held at the University’s Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin auditorium on Monday night.BAU Proctor office organized the programme on the occasion of their annual programme for newly-enrolled students in the campus.
The titled of the programme was “Oi Notuner Keton Ode”
They organized an amazing cultural programme with solo dance, group dance, stage drama, silence drama, song and fashion shows.
All performers were students and teachers of different faculties of BAU.
The cultural programme began with a short discussion in which BAU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Ali Akbar spoke as chief guest, while BAU proctor Prof Dr AKM Zakir Hossain presided over it.
“Cultural programme is a social media which make the awareness among the people away from drug addiction and any kinds of violence work of the society”, said BAU VC.
BAU VC also called the new comers to involve the cultural organizations and performs any kinds of stage performance to grow the self- confidence.
‘Cultural programmes can be a great instrument for raising awareness of important issues affecting the society,’ said Dr Zakir Hossain.
Among others, Student affairs advisor Prof Dr Jasimuddhin Khan spoke in the the programme.
Over three thousands of audience enjoyed the progamme at the auditorium.
