The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Tuesday started the process for the trial of cricketer Shahadat Hossain and his wife Jesmin Jahan Nitto at the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal of Dhaka for torturing their minor domestic help.On Tuesday, Magistrate Nuru Mia of the CMM Court sent the case docket with the charge sheet of the case to the CMM for starting the trial process at the tribunal.
On December 8, last year, the couple secured bail in the case from the High Court Division of the Supreme Court. Shahadat was granted bail until March 31 while Nitto was allowed bail until January 17.
