Police in a series of overnight drives arrested 69 people including a Jamaat activist from different Upazilas of the district on Monday night.Abdul Awal, Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district, said police detained 69 people including a Jamaat activist from different upazilas of the district for their alleged involvement in sabotage acts and vandalism.Police also recovered 300 pieces of contraband yaba tablets and 15 liters of country-made liquors during the drives.The detainees also include 66 arrest warrantees and three accused in regular cases, he said.(BSS)
