Dhaka – A DB inspector was injured in an attack allegedly by militants during a raid on a den of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in the city’s Badda area on Friday night.
Sub-inspector Mizan said a team of Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police conducted the drive at the JMB den at Satakul around 8pm.
However, the militants swooped on the detectives and hit inspector Bahauddin Faruqui in the head with a machete.
The injured cop was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. – UNB
