DCCI urges Dubai NRBs to invest in B’desh

Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) urged the Non-Resident Bangladeshi (NRB) businessmen of Dubai to invest in Bangladesh.

DCCI president M Sabur Khan made the call during a meeting with Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Dubai on Wednesday where non-resident Bangladeshi entrepreneurs were present, according to a message received here on Thursday.

Chairman of Dubai Chamber Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair and director general Hamad Buamim were also present at the meeting.

Sabur Khan said Bangladesh is giving various incentives in order to attract foreign direct investments (FDI).

The DCCI president also urged the NRB entrepreneurs of Dubai to diversify their businesses in different potential areas like IT, Hotel and Tourism, Handicrafts and Sales and Marketing.

Currently a DCCI delegation, led by its President M Sabur Khan, is visiting Dubai. Earlier, the DCCI delegation held a meeting with Bangladesh Business Council (BBC) in Dubai on April 30.

During the meeting, the NRB businessmen of Dubai showed their keen interest to invest in potential sectors of Bangladesh and stressed on infrastructure development of the country. UNB
