DCCI urges expatriates in Qatar to invest at home

President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) M Sabur Khan has urged the Bangladeshi businessmen in Qatar to invest in their homeland in prospective areas like IT, hotel and tourism sectors.The DCCI President made the request during a business matchmaking event at Rotana Hotel in Doha on Thursday, said a DCCI release here on Saturday.

Business Association of Bangladesh (BAB), Qatar arranged the event to have business talks with the visiting 14-member DCCI delegation.

Bangladesh Ambassador in Qatar Mohammad Nasir Uddin and over 50 Bangladeshi businessmen of Qatar were present.

During the meeting, the DCCI president sought the cooperation of Bangladeshis in Qatar in Information Technology, hotel, tourism, food, pharmaceuticals, technical workshop and service sector areas.

The expatriate businesspeople emphasised political stability in the country and urged all to work together to ensure smooth economic growth.
