Dhaka, June 19 – The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Tuesday fixed July 16 for submission of investigation report in a case filed against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia for making ‘derogatory’ remarks about Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the Bangladesh Awami League. Magistrate Abu Sayed of the CMM Court passed the order on Tuesday as the Police of Shahbagh Police Station could not submit the report on the day. Earlier, on May 20, the same court fixed June 19 for submission of the report.
On January 25, last year, pro-Awami League organization Jananetri Parishad President AB Siddiq filed the case and on the same day, the court directed Shahbagh Police Station to submit a report after investigation. – Special Correspondent
