Ferry service on the Paturia-Daulatdia route was suspended for 11 hours on Saturday morning due to dense fog.Mahiuddin Russel, manager of BIWTA Aricha, said suddenly the area was enveloped in thick fog, forcing them to suspend the ferry services at about 10:30 am.Nine ferries remained stranded at Daulatdia while two at Paturia ghats.Besides, five ferries were stranded in the mid-river due to poor visibility caused by the fog, he said.About 400 vehicles, including buses, trucks and cars, remained stranded along with several hundred passengers on both ends of this important route and in the mid-river.However, the ferry services could not be resumed as of filing this report around 9 am. -UNB, Manikganj
