Development projects inaugurated in C’nawabganj

Many development projects were inaugurated in remote char area under Sadar upazila of the district on Monday.
The projects include construction of roads, Sundarpur UP complex and a new building of a primary school in Sundarpur union.
A simple function was arranged on the occasion at Bagchar under Sundarpur union.
The lawmaker in the function disclosed that the construction work of second Mohananda bridge at a cost of Taka 50 crore has been progressing fast.
After the completion of the bridge seven char unions of the Sadar upazila would come in close contact with the district town, he added.
He also said that development work of Chapainawabganj Government College at a cost of Taka 7 crore has been going on and a modern railway station has already been constructed.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has permitted to establish an Agriculture University, which would be constructed on 50 bighas of land in Chapainawabganj.
Sundarpur UP chairman Matiur Rahman presided over the function while chairman of Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila M Ruhul Amin, vice chairman Ziaur Rahman Tota were present, among others.
