Digital Fair begins tomorrow in Gaibandha

A three-day long Digital Innovation Fair-2015 will begin on Independence Square of the town here from January 22 under Access to Information Programme of Prime Minster (PM) Office.This was disclosed in a press conference organized by District Information Office at the conference room of district collectorate building here on Tuesday noon.Deputy Commissioner (DC) M. Ehsan-e-Elahi addressed the function as the main focal person while acting district information officer Sabiha Akter Lucky was the moderator.DC M. Ehsan-e-Elahi in his speeches said the government envisioned its philosophy Vision 2021: Digital Bangladesh leading towards use of ICT to leverage economic growth and development to transform Bangladesh into a middle-income country by 2021.The government had already achieved remarkable success in different sectors including health, education, agriculture, information and communication technology due to the implementation of different time-befitting programmes, the DC said.Online registration process of 20 lakh job aspirants at abroad had been completed; the DC said adding that applications of 32 lakh citizens had been made disposal through District-e-Service Centres side by side with sending 1.36 crore electronic money order through postal department.Director General of PM office Kabir Bin Anwar is likely to inaugurate the 3-day fair formally on Thursday 4 pm as the chief guest. -BSS, Gaibandha
