District primary education officer adds up marks!

The “number of his own daughter has been increased by the district education officer of Khhagrachhari” according to a news item published in a daily newspaper that attracted my attention. It is alleged that district primary education officer has increased the number in Bangla paper of the Primary School Certificate (PSC) examination of his own daughter Bristi Podder from 65 to 80.
A lot of things are happening with the public examination PSC which has been introduced by the incumbents in the name of quality education. Questions papers have been leaked during the last examination. Almost all the teachers claim that students
usually share their answers with others in the exam halls. It is an open secret that teachers are asked to give extra marks to secure more average passes and more division holders.
