Triumphs of Anna Chacha

Dr. M. S. Haq
It is good to know the upper and the lower houses of India have now passed the lokpal bill and the champion of above bill Anna Chacha (Mr. Anna Hazare) has broken his latest round of fast following the passage of above bill. Anna Chacha – Congratulations! Keep up the good work especially, in the form of facilitating a full, meaningful, just and just-in-time implementation of the bill through the future with the help of people of India and others concerned. Chacha in Bangla means paternal uncle.People of India including Team Anna – Congratulations on your support and cooperation so far to Anna Chacha in his struggle for a corruption free India that includes now passed bill! Keep up the good work especially, in the form of your continuing support and cooperation to for example Anna Chacha and his work. It is expected the upcoming government under able leadership of ‘PM’ Modi will be instrumental in inter alia transforming the bill into a fully blown operational reality in the country – to maximum satisfaction of Anna Hazare and rest of the people of India. Good luck to Mr. Modi and his team!
The policy success in the form of passed lokpal bill – against the backdrop of singular effort, as well as courage of Mr. Anna Hazare in the midst popular support of the people – comes at the time when India’s transformation into one of the global economic superpowers in a sustained manner is being constrained by policy, program and implementation related insufficiencies in areas of anti-hunger, anti-poverty, anti-corruption, anti-deprivation, pro-equity and pro-equality, to mention a few.
Anna Chacha has set an example before people of India, in particular and people of world at large, in general – as to how best and quickest (in certain ways) a principled old man could, by putting himself often in extremely life threatening situations, attract and sustain support, as well as cooperation of a huge number of people of India in pursuits of a noble cause – that is, a corruption free India – resulting in achievement of one of the core goals in that direction in the form of now passed lokpal bill. Anna Chacha has not only made successful contributions towards creation of initial conditions for enrichment of Gene mechanics of people of present generation but that of people of future generations via brightening prospects of ‘quality’ DNA transfers in relevant areas.
I have so far written a number of articles on Anna Chacha’s fight against corruption in India, starting from early days of his anti-corruption movement. The articles were published by English national dailies concerned of Bangladesh and picked up by Google. They (the published articles) were shared by me with Anna’s people, Zee News and others concerned including the World Bank for information, and action – as appropriate. They reflected on inter alia – my conceptual engagement with Anna Chacha’s fight against corruption; my encouragement to him to continue the fight; my concerns about his life, his health – from time to time; my efforts towards drawing global attention to his anti-corruption efforts and challenges ahead; my suggestions on future of his fight against corruption; and my good wishes for him; to mention a few. I found him inter alia demonstrating elements of Gandhian spirits and discipline in popularization and marketing of his anti-corruption products in markets both within and outside of India.
The last word: let us follow the example of Mr. Anna Hazare when it comes to help uprooting corruption at the soonest from all over the world. Since causes, effects and causalities of corruption revolve around for example entitlements of people including their entitlement related losses at local, global and other levels, countries free of corruption, as maximally practicable though, is essential for democracy, justice – the right and affordable justice for all at all time, equality and equity, to mention a few, therein in an ever competitive, progressively reintegrating and continually uncertain world. Bangladesh, among others concerned, is no exception to that.
We are proud of Anna Hazare and his work. Government of India, global institutions such as the World Bank, the United Nations including the UNDP and others – that are involved in inter alia anti-corruption support work at say program country levels – should now consider as to how best and quickest Anna Hazare could be recognized and commended for his exemplary contributions to anti-corruption in India. Let us fight against corruption. God bless. (The author is inter alia former Government Advisor, Office of the Prime Minister of Fiji – Suva, South Pacific)
