Don’t hoard medicines, oxygen, Quader urges people

Dhaka, June 21 – Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Sunday urged all not to hoard medicines based on an assumption of Covid-19 treatment during the crisis period.“Hoarding medicines based on assumption is unnecessary and it may do more harm than good. Using oxygen without doctors’ advice could be dangerous,” he said.
He made these remarks in the regular online briefing from his residence.
Dying patients are being deprived of oxygen thanks to unnecessary hoarding of oxygen cylinder, said Quader urging all to concentrate on coronavirus prevention instead of being selfish.
Mentioning the harassment and delay in getting coronavirus test reports, Quader urged all concerned to increase coordination among them and give reports in a short time.
Bangladesh has so far reported 108,775 coronavirus cases and 1,425 deaths in the country. – UNB
