Don’t obstruct democratic movement: Mirza Abbas

City BNP convenor Mirza Abbas yesterday urged the government not to create obstructions to their democratic movement.
“The government will be forced to exit from power through a non-violent movement, but not through other means. So, don’t obstruct the movement of BNP,” he said while addressing a joint meeting of city unit of the party.The BNP leader said the people would never accept the government whatever quantity of bullets are imported from Brazil to kill people, he told the meeting.
He said the ruling Awami League is pushing the BNP towards violence for fear of their non-violent programme.
The joint meeting was organised to make the November 8 public meeting at Suhrawardy Udyan a success.
Meanwhile, BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed yesterday alleged that the government has introduced one-person-rule in the country.
“The illegal government is resisting democratic movement and introduced rule of one person,” he said while briefing reporters at party central office. – Staff Reporter
