Gazipur – A drama activist was hacked to death allegedly by his two co-activists over sharing the money they had earned through performing in a street drama at Singhosri in Kapasia upazila on Saturday night.The deceased was identified as Faruk Hossain, 40, son of Abdul Barek, a resident of Kulganga village.Witnesses said Faruk, his father Barek and their neighbour Abdul Baten and his son Shakil acted in a street drama against child
marriage directed by Brac.Barek had an altercation Baten over sharing of the money they got for acting in the drama.On Saturday night, Baten and his son Shakil swooped on Faruk and stabbed him mercilessly when he was taking tea at a stall at Chourastar More Bazar in the area, leaving him injured.Faruk was whisked off to Kapasia Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
