Gazipur – A court here on Sunday placed suspended Gazipur City Corporation mayor MA Mannan on a one-day remand in a
case filed for acts of sabotage.Judge of the Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-2 Mohammad Shahidul Islam passed the order when police produced Mannan before the court, seeking a 10-day remand for him.On February 11, detectives picked MA Mannan up from his DOHS residence in Baridhara of the capital.Mannan faces a number of cases filed with Tongi, Joydebpur, Kaliakoir and Sreepur police stations on various charges.(UNB)
