A truck driver received burn injuries as miscreants set fire to his vehicle by hurling a petrol bomb at Jummarpar on the Lalmanirhat-Burimari Highway in Patgram upazila early Thursday.
The injured was identified as Maminul Haque,42.
Officer-in-charge of Patgram Police Station Rezaul Karim said miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at the truck when it was passing through the area at about 1:00 am, leaving the driver of the vehicle Maminul with burn injuries.
He was taken to Patgram Hospital.
Informed, a fire fighting unit rushed in and doused the blaze.
Police also arrested Rabiul Islam,35, Shah Alam,25, Samiul,28 and Bappi,22, for their suspected involvement in the incident.
