Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested an alleged drug
peddler along with one kilogram hemp in Mankia Bazar area near
Raghunathpur border in Sharsha upazila on Sunday night.
BGB also recovered an Indian made motorcycle from his possession.
The arrestee was identified as Ismail, 27, son of Abdur Razzak
ofRaghunathpur village.
Habildar Abdur Rahim of Jessore BGB-26 battalion of said being tipped
off a team of Raghunathpur camp BGB conducted a drive in the area and
arrested Ismail along with the narcotic item.
Later, he was handed over to Benapole port police.
A case was filed under the Narcotics Control Act. -UNB, Benapole (Jessore)
