Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized huge
contraband Indian sex stimulant tables, drugs and other goods worth Tk
1.52 crore from Hatkhola border area of Panchbibi upazila on Friday
night.
Being tipped off, a team of BGB-3 conducted a sudden drive in the area
at about 8.00pm and seized huge sex stimulating tablets and drugs—
38,400 pieces of Indian “Target”, 96,000 pieces of “Decsin” and 84,000
pieces of “Practin—there in an abandoned condition, said Ltd. Col.
Sabbir, commanding officer of BGB Battalion-3. The team also
recovered 1,400 pieces of ornaments of imitation gold from the same
area.
However, the smugglers fled the scene after sensing the presence of
BGB team, also said Sabbir.
The value of the seized commodities was estimated at Tk 1.52 crore.
The team handed over the commodities to Hili customs office on
