DU signs MoU with Australian university

Dhaka University (DU) on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Federation University (FU) of Australia. Deputy Vice-chancellor (Engagement) of FU Prof Todd Walker and DU treasurer Prof Dr Kamal Uddin signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides at the DU VC office.

DU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, Deputy Vice-chancellor (Research & Innovation) of FU Prof Frank Stagnitti, Dean of the Business Studies Faculty of DU Prof Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam, Dean of the Arts Faculty Prof Sadrul Amin and Dean of the Engineering and Technology Faculty Prof Sekul Islam were, among others, present on the occasion. The main purpose of the MoU is to develop academic and educational cooperation and to promote relations and mutual understanding between Dhaka University and Federation University of Australia. Besides, academic exchange, joint research, exchange of publications and teaching materials and co-sponsoring of seminars, workshops and meetings are the prime objectives of the MoU. Prof Arefin Siddique thanked the Federation University authorities for signing the MoU. He said the academic and research collaborations has begun between the two universities with the signing of the MoU, and hoped that this collaboration will continue in the days to come. – UNB
