Election in three upazila parishads — Madaripur sadar, Nakla in Sherpur and Bancharampur in Brahmanbaria — will be held on June 26.
The Election Commission announced the election schedule for the three upazilas on Wednesday. According to the schedule, the deadline for the submission of nomination paper is May 29, while the date for scrutinising the nomination papers is May 31 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is June 8.The commission has so far completed elections in 471 upazilas out of the country’s 487 in several phases that started on February 19 this year. – UNB
