Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad on Friday demanded proper compensation to the families of those killed in the Savar building collapse and treatment and rehabilitation of the injured.He made the demand while visiting the site of the collapsed Rana Plaza at Savar in the morning.
Ershad arrived at the tragedy scene around 10:30 am to see the 2nd phase of the rescue operation and talked to the people concerned about the drive.
He also thanked the Bangladesh Army for conducting the rescue operation efficiently.
Later, the Jatiya Party chief went to Enam Medical College Hospital to see those injured in the disastrous Rana Plaza collapse.
He also announced to give some of the female garment workers who lost their working ability a certain amount of money per month for their livelihood support.
