The release date of Tauquir Ahmed’s next film ‘Fagun Haway’ has been pushed back by a week. It will now be released on February 15. Tauquir Ahmed himself has confirmed the news citing some ‘internal complications.’ As the movie is based on the Language Movement of 1952 he hopes it would be released in the very month that saw the movement reach its peak. Meanwhile a 2 minute and 9 seconds long trailer of the film was released online on January 20. It is available on the YouTube channel of Channel i.
The trailer reveals some of the rebellious moments from 1952. Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Siam Ahmed, Rownak Hasan and Shazu Khadem can be seen taking part in the protests while Bollwood film ‘Lagan’ star Yashpal Sharma is seen as an oppressive pro-Pakistani police officer. The film would bring up the socio-political atmosphere of a small town in Khulna during the Language Movement. Other notable actors of the film are Abul Hayat, Afroza Banu, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Faruk Hossain, Abdur Rahim, Hasan Ahmed and more.
