Former Bangladesh Bank Governor Mohammad Farashuddin will enjoy the status of a judge of the Appellate Division as head of the Pay and Services Commission.
A government circular stated that he had been appointed on a six-month contract.Three other full-time members of the Commission who have been appointed are Md Shahad Chowdhury, Khurshid Alam and Muhammad Abul Kashem.
Appointments of all the four will take retroactive effect from Dec 17 last year.
The three other full-time members during their six-month contractual appointment will have the status of a secretary, says the circular.
Chowdhury had served as Comptroller and Auditor General, Alam as LGRD Secretary and Kashem as Secretary at the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division.
A 16-strong Commission, led by Farashuddin, was formed on Nov 24.-bdnews24.com
