Faridpur district Muktijoddhya command council organized a protest rally and formed a human chain yesterday in the city against Tareque’s derogatory remarks over the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Shaikh Mujibur Rahman recently in London.
About five hundred freedom fighters and representatives of various socio-cultural organizations were present in the rally.
Speakers said that Tareque has become mentally sick and he is deliberately distorting history to undermine the contributions of
Bangabandhu in the liberation war. The speakers demanded that the government to bring back him to the country and put him under trial immediately. District Muktijoddha command council chairman Abul Faez Shahnawaj, deputy commander Aminur Rahman Farid, Freedom Fighters Ashrafuzzaman, Nasiruddin, Komolesh Chakravarty and SACHIP president Dr. Abdul Jalil
