A farmer was killed over land dispute at village Saniapara in Gouripur upazila here yesterday afternoon.The victim was identified as Kamrul Islam, 28, son of Abu Siddique of village Saniapara.Police said, there had been a long standing dispute between victim’s father Abu Siddique and their neighbour Rajab Ali. Following an altercation over the issue, Rajab’s men attacked Kamrul Islam with sharp weapons, leaving him injured critically around 2.30 pm, said Mohammad Ali Sheikh, officer-in-charge of Gouripur Police Station.Kamrul died on way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH).Police recovered the body and sent it to MMCH morgue for autopsy.A case was lodged.
