A total of 45,000 participants took part in season three of Channel I Shera Nachiye. Among them, Farzana Hridi Sheikh from Dhaka stood out the champion of the season.
The announcement was made at the end of a glamorous finale held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital on May 13.
Farzana was awarded with a diamond crown and a brand new car sponsored by ACI-Fun Chanachur. First runner-up Sinthia Yasmin Nupur (from Munshiganj) and second reunner-up Umme Habiba Shobha (from Rangpur) received Tk3 lakh and Tk2 lakh respectively.
Channel I managing director, Faridur Reza Sagor and director and head of news Shykh Seraj handed over the awards.
AST Beverage Ltd chairman Md Harun-ur-Rashid and ACI Group executive director Syed Alamagir were present.
Munmun Ahmed, one of the three regular judges of the show, could not attend the event as she is currently abroad, while film actress Purnima appeared as a guest judge along with the regular judges Ferdous Ahmed, Meher Afroza Shaon.
Among the participants, Suraiya Islam Riya from Tangail received a scholarship in dance from Shadhona. Lubna Marium, artistic director of Shadhona handed over the certificate.
Faridur Reza Sagor said Channel I was increasing the number of reality shows in order to aid youth to become established dancers, singers, actors, models and entrepreneurs.
Meher Afroza Shaon and Ferdous enthralled the audience with their gorgeous dance performance.
