A man and his son were killed allegedly by their rivals over a plot of
disputed land at Gulkhar village in Akhaura upazila of the district
early Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Gulam Khan, 90, and his son Ismail
Khan, 14, residents of the village said.
Police sources said, rivals of Gulam Khan attacked his house at about
9.00pm on Tuesday and beat up him and his son mercilessly, leaving
them critically injured.
They were rushed to Brahamanbaria sadar hospital.
Later, when their condition deteriorated, they were shifted to Dhaka
Medical College Hospital where they died in the early hours of
Wednesday.
Police earlier arrested two people in connection with the incident.
