Fazlur Rahman Babu, Jahid Hasan to debut in Indian screen

A host of Bangladeshi screen actors will mark their debut in Indian film industry with an upcoming project titled Sitara. The stars include Fazlur Rahman Babu, Jahid Hasan and Shahed Ali Shujon. Fazlur Rahman Babu has also voiced a song for the film.

The film is based on the story of a smuggler who remains busy around illegal border trades. In the course of his mischievous activities he has to leave his wife “Sitara” with a ringleader, who later takes his nefarious chances with the helpless Sitara. The film is based on dynamic writer Abul Bashar’s “Bhorer Prasuti.”
Sitara will be directed for Kolkata’s film industry by Ashish Rai. Raima Sen will play the lead role, that of Sitara. Thus the film revolves around the struggles of Sitara.
In the film veteran actor of South Indian films M Naser will play the negative role, that of the smugglers’ ringleader who exploits Sitara. Fazlur Rahman Babu will play the loving husband of Sitara. He however fails to deliver proper devotion to his wife as a result of his illegal means of earning livelihood. The film started shooting on February 5 in the remote marshlands of the river Teesta in India.
